Captain Jason Duff - Operations Commander
Jason Duff began working for the Hazard Police Department as a Dispatcher in March 2001. During his time in Communications, Duff attained the titles of TAC officer and later Chief Communications Officer. In October 2002, Duff was hired as a Patrol officer for the City of Hazard. Duff graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Training Academy in August 2003. In May of 2008, Duff graduated from the Academy of Police Supervision at D.O.C.J.T; which consisted of three weeks of intense training for front line supervisors. In July 2008, Duff was appointed as the Administrative Officer for the Department. In July 2009, Duff was promoted to the rank of Captain, which is also his current rank today. In August 2010 Duff was appointed as the new Operations Commander for the Hazard Police Department, overseeing the everyday operations of the Patrol Division. Duff enjoys working for H.P.D.; and for the citizens and visitors of Hazard, and hopes to at least make a positive impact on someone’s life while working at H.P.D.

Sergeant Randy Napier
Randy Napier has been employed with the Hazard Police Department since March of 2007. Before working for HPD, Napier was an independent distributor for Flowers Baking Company for three years where he basically ran his own business. Napier graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training in August of 2007; doing so with fit for duty status. In 2009 Napier was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. During his time with HPD, Napier has been one of the most active officers in traffic enforcement throughout the city and by doing so, hopes to make a difference by making the city streets throughout Hazard safe for motorists.
